2018 - Aboriginal & Mental Wellness Annual Conference Website Creation

Project Overview

The Aboriginal & Mental Wellness Committee approached the IMA program to request the development of a website for their annual conference happening in October 2018. This project was created as a capstone project this year.

Project Details

As part of The Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) of Canada’s Final Report, the TRC: Calls to Action is a summary report of the 94 recommendations urging all levels of government. The website was created by second-year Interactive Design Students to promote the conference and being able to sell online tickets by accepting online payment methods.

The students worked thorughout the year to create the main platform for the committee to be able to sell the tickets and promote the upcoming conference. Once this was achieved, the students trained the committee members to update their website in the upcoming months.

As part of this project, the students would also be producing a video with activities that will be taken place in Neelin High School, in Brandon, Mb. This final video will be showcased during the conference this year.
